There are several types of local devices that you can use in different situations.
- Simple IP address: a local device with a simple IP address. Use this when you want to specify a particular IP address.
- Network objects: a device that uses CIDR. Use this when you want to specify an entire IP network.
- Overlay port group IP/network: a device that automatically acquires either
the:
- IP of the ovrelay port group

Note: You can also configure bypass devices (IP/network and hostname).
