Serial drivers
Please follow the links below to download serial drivers for your HIPswitch. If you need instructions for accessing the HIPswitch via the console port, see Connecting to the console port on a HIPswitch.
- HIPswitch 75
- The PL2303 Chip is built into the HIPswitch 75 to provide serial connectivity to the console. However, the driver is not included out-of-the-box with Windows or macOS, so you will need downloaded it from the manufacturer's site and install it before you connect.
- HIPswitch 150
- A custom chip is built into the HIPswitch 150 to provide serial connectivity to the console. This chip has drivers for Linux and macOS built-in, but Windows requires you to download and install a driver before you can connect.
- HIPswitch 250
- The FT232RL chip is built into the HIPswitch 250 to provide serial connectivity to the console. However, this driver is not included out-of-the-box with Windows or OSX/macOS, so you will need to download it before you connect.
