Configure Email Settings

Members or managers of an overlay network can set up the Conductor to send email notifications when specific events occur in the overlay network. There are two steps involved: Adding your email settings and turning on or off notifications.

  1. Add email settings to the Conductor
    1. Go to Settings > Email Settings and click Edit Settings. Click Enabled, enter the requested settings and click Save.
    1. Once email settings have been configured, go to Settings > Email Settings and click Send Test Email… to verify that the settings are valid.
  2. To start or stop automatic ongoing email notifications
    1. Click Overlays and select an overlay.
    2. Go to Recent Activity and click Send email notifications. To discontinue email notifications, click No.
      When configured, email notifications are sent in 5-minute intervals to subscribed members and managers of the overlay network when the following events occur:
      • A HIPswitch goes offline
      • A HIPswitch comes online
