Deploy a Conductor
To set up a Conductor for the first time, you need to configure a few basic settings. After completing the following, you can connect the Conductor to your underlay.
Before you begin these steps
The Conductor manages
policy for all distributed HIPservices, delivering simple
control of the network. Confirm your existing network settings such as DHCP, DNS and firewalls
to decide where your Tempered Networks IDN
solution will exist within your environment. For more information, see Confirm your Underlay Settings.
Important: Do not connect any HIPservices or hardware until
after the Conductor is
configured.
Note: The Conductor uses a Tempered Networks security certificate. This
certificate is anchored to the Tempered Networks Certificate Authority
(CA). You may need to explicitly trust the certificate to connect to the user interface. If you
would like to use your own certificate, see Install a Customer CA Certificate Chain.
