Set up physical HIPswitches
Before you begin installing your HIPswitch, ensure that you already have the Conductor installed and configured. After you are finished installing your HIPswitch, you can begin connecting devices.
Connect HIPswitches to the Conductor
This guidance will help you understand how to set up and manage HIPswitches. Before you begin, ensure that you already have the Conductor set up. You will be able to connect the devices that you want to protect to the HIPswitch after it is set up.

Once a HIPservice is connected to the Conductor, you can validate that it is online.

Once a HIPservice is connected to the Conductor, you can validate that it is online.

To determine if a HIPswitch or HIPapp is online:

In the Conductor, click HIPservices and select the drop-down to the right of the desired HIPservice.
Click Check online
If the HIPswitch is online, it temporarily displays offline in place of the IP address, then its IP address is displayed in green. If the HIPswitch is in fact offline, offline remains in place of the IP address.
