LDAP search settings
LDAP search setting | Description |

Base search DN | This should be the root of the tree in LDAP, underneath which your users and groups are defined. |
User UID attribute | Name of the attribute that contains the user’s login name:

Custom search filter | This can be used to further constrain user search results. It can also be used to filter out non-user entries in LDAP that are present in the user directory. |
Test LDAP search | Enter a user name and click Test Search to test searching
for a user. This will query the LDAP directory for the given user. If found, it will
display the number of records located. Note: Before continuing to configure LDAP, it’s
highly recommended that this query returns successfully. |
