Update HIPswitch firmware
System administrators can update HIPswitch firmware directly from the Conductor as long as the HIPswitch is a current or former member of an overlay network. HIPswitches in the factory reset state cannot receive firmware updates.

System administrators can update HIPswitch firmware directly from the Conductor as long as the HIPswitch is a current or former member of an overlay network. HIPswitches in the factory reset state cannot receive firmware updates.

The Conductor gives you the option to update firmware on individual HIPswitches or to apply updates to groups. During the update process, a HIPswitch will go offline for a few minutes as it installs the firmware update and then reboots. You can view the current state of the HIPswitch on the HIPswitches Reporting page.

CAUTION: It is critical that HIPswitches remain powered on during the firmware update process to prevent data loss and potential corruption. A loss of power during the firmware update process may leave the HIPswitch in a corrupted state.

HIPswitches not currently connected to Conductor can also be manually updated. Refer to your model's Product Guide for more information.
