Transfer a HIPservice License to Another HIPservice

You can transfer HIPservice licenses within the Conductor.

There are two ways to transfer a license from one HIPservice to another:

  • Replace – Replacing a HIPservice transfers all of the settings from the replaced HIPservice along with the license. Follow the instructions in Replace a HIPswitch.
  • Revoke – Revoking a HIPservice frees only the license for use, and does not transfer the settings.

Transfer a license by Revoking the HIPservice

  1. Make sure the HIPservice you want to transfer the license to is installed and provisioned, but unmanaged (unlicensed).
  2. Revoke the HIPservice you want to un-license. For details, see Revoke and Reactivate a HIPswitch.
  3. On the Conductor dashboard, filter the HIPservices by unmanaged.
  4. Click the drop down on the HIPservice you want to license, and click Manage HIPservice.
