Rule types

The following rule types are available while editing rules:

Rule Type Arguments Description
CIDR 1 A text field that accepts Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation for a group of IP addresses.
INET Addr 2 Two text fields, the first accepting an IP address and the second a netmask, both using dotted decimal notation.
Range 2 Two text fields that accept a range of IP addresses using dotted decimal notation.
MAC Prefix 1 A text field that accepts a MAC address prefix. An empty field is supported for matching devices without a MAC address.
HIPservice 1 A drop-down list of existing HIPservices.
HIPservice Attribute 2 A drop-down list of attributes and text field for entering a matching string. The following attributes are available:
  • Name
  • Description
  • Location
  • Model
  • Product Platform
  • Capability Code
  • Cloud Attributes
  • Version
  • Hotfix List
HIPservice Group 1 A drop-down list of existing HIPservice groups.
Device Group 1 A drop-down list of existing device groups.
